We are in the mid of the ongoing Maharaja T20 Trophy 2022 and today Bengaluru Blasters are all set to take on mighty Shivamogga Strikers in the 12th game of the Tournament at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar stadium in Mysore. Bengaluru Blasters are riding on their confidence as they have won three out of four games they have played and in their last game, they thumped Mangalore United by 35 runs. They will look to keep the winning streak which will help them to seal the Play-off berth.
Shivamogga Strikers are yet to register their first victory and are bottom-placed in the points table. In their previous outing, they lost to Mangalore United by 35 runs. It’s high time for them to rebound and bounce back strongly and get back to winning ways. Shivamogga Strikers has got both experience and talent but the form of their bowlers is quite concerning. If their bowlers can able to get back to their rhythm then they will be the team to beat.
Players to watch out for:
Mayank Agarwal has been in top-notch form as he has got a 25-ball 52 already and in the previous game also he scored 20-ball 44. So he is in good touch and he will look to repeat the same performance today as well.
One of the finest bowlers in this tournament Ronit More has already taken 5 wickets in two games so far and he will look to exploit the under-confidence Shivamogga Strikers line-up.
Rohan Kadam is the lone warrior in the Strikers' batting line-up as he has already got 2-fifties under his belt. So he will look to continue this same form to cement his place in the Karnataka white-ball team.
He is one of the best bowlers in the tournament and has got 6 wickets to his kitty which also includes 5/40 in the opening game. His form is very crucial for strikers to keep blasters batsmen under check.
The wicket at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar stadium is conducive for batting and is expected to repeat today as well. Chasing would be the ideal option for the teams who win the toss but at the same time, spinners are also getting late movement in the second innings.
Rain has been the major issue throughout the tournament but today the match will be played in the daytime so there won’t be a big issue due to rain. But it is expected to get rain any time. The temperature will be around 30 degrees Celcius.
