The middle of the table clash beckons as the fourth and final game at the Optus Stadium, Perth takes place between the Perth Scorchers and the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League10. While Hurricanes are on fourth position with 19 points, Scorchers are just behind them with 16 points on the fifth position.
While the Hurricanes started their BBL10 campaign on a great note, winning five out of their first seven games, they have certainly lost their winning touch with two back-to-back losses against Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder.
On the other hand, the Scorchers like their name have been in scorching form as they have all four of their last games. The Scorchers didn’t get off to a great start losing three of their first four but they have certainly found momentum at their home ground in Optus.
Pitch Report:
This venue has already hosted four matches in the ongoing BBL 10. In all these four matches, the first batting teams claimed comfortable victories by 96 runs, 86 runs, 39 runs and 17 runs respectively.
In both the first two games of this season at Perth Stadium, the chasing teams even failed to score 100 runs (Melbourne Renegades 89 & Sydney Sixers 97) while Perth Scorchers scored 180+ first innings totals (185/3 & 183/4).
Then Hobart Hurricanes failed to chase the 168 runs target against Sydney Thunder as Hurricanes only managed to reply with 128/8.
In the last game at this venue, Perth Scorchers (185/6) again managed to score 180+ total in the first innings. Later, Sydney Thunder were all out for 168 runs.
There is no doubt that the first batting side will be favourite to claim a victory on Tuesday during the meeting between Scorchers and Hurricanes.
Weather Conditions:
According to predictions, there is no rain forecast in Perth for the entire Tuesday. The sky is majorly expected to be sunny and clear. However, some clouds can be seen occasionally. So, the cricket fans don’t need to fear about the weather condition of the forthcoming match between Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes. The match time temperature can be between 23°C and 28°C.
Toss Prediction:
The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bat first and then get a big score to defend. There is no change expected in the pitch and so winning the toss is not a big loss.
