Durban Heat and Paarl Rocks are scheduled to play the 7th match of the Mzansi Super League, 2019 on the 15th of November. The venue of the match is the Kingsmead Stadium, Durban.
This is technically going to be the first match in the campaign of Durban Heat as their previous match got washed out last week at home. Meanwhile, Paarl Rocks won their first match comprehensively, so their confidence will be very high going into this match.
Durban Heat
With their first match washed out at home, Durban Heat has waited for a while to kick-start their MSL tournament. This team is captained by Dane Vilas, an experienced pro in the South African domestic circuit.
Their marquee players i.e. Andile Phehlukwayo and Alex Hales bring some great international T20 experience to the side. David Miller is the best boundary hitter for this franchise; he is a proven performer at the IPL level as well as international cricket too.
Don’t forget the crafty veteran in Ravi Bopara, he is the player to watch out for the Durban Heat team.
The bowling is spearheaded by Kyle Abbott, a player who recently left South Africa international team setup in favor of a Kolpak deal. Keshav Maharaj is their main spinner.
On paper, Durban heat looks like a very balanced batting side with a decent set of first choice bowlers. It will be interesting to see how they fare in MSL, as their overall side is not the first pick for many fans to win the tournament.
