ACC looking to hold Asia Cup 2021

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has postponed the date to hold the Asia Cricket Cup tournament up to June 2021. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also in support of this decision.  According to cricket betting tips provider – Bhaiji, from the start, the board was very interested in arranging the tournament according to the previous plan. However, some challenges like country-special quarantine needs, travel limitations, basic health threats and social distancing instruction have considered holding the Asia Cup. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is considered to have taken a good decision by postponing the tournament by the president, Sourav Ganguly, of BCCI.

But Samiul Hasan Burney, the media director of Pakistan Cricket Board, stands against Sourav Ganguly, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, saying that this decision has no advantage in the current situation. The decision to be taken by the Board, but not by Sourav Ganguly only, said by Samiul Hasan Burney on Wednesday. In February 2020, Sourav Ganguly himself announced that Asia Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where both India and Pakistan will play. But that was turned down by PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani.

The Asian Cricket council Board meeting was carried on by the Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon and this was the first continental meeting attended by Secretary Jay Shah and President Sourav Ganguly. Based on the research done by the team of Free Cricket Betting Tips offerers, this announcement was released a day after Board for Control of Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly opened up in on Instagram chat that the event was canceled. Pakistan was about to host the 2020 Cricket tournament, 2020. Actually, India was not ready to travel to Pakistan priorly. But, the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) was sure and stated that they did not have any issue if Pakistan hosts the Asia Cup, as and when it is organized in a neutral venue.

To evaluate the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the Asia Cup tournament scheduled in September 2020, the officials of the Board for Control of Cricket in India had met on different occasions.  The Asia Cup is held twice a year and since 2016, it has been on a rotation basis and it is an alternative between T20IS and ODIS. Pakistan was not hosting this tournament since 2008. Then Sri Lanka hosted the 2010 edition and the next three editions were held in Bangladesh.
