
The 2019 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) will be the 7th season of the Caribbean Premier League, the local Twenty20 cricket alliance in the West Indies. Matches will be played in six nations Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Saint Lucia. Initially, the competition was planned to begin on 21 August 2019. However, this was pushed back to 4 September 2019, to abstain from conflicting with India's visit toward the West Indies.
As indicated by the Caribbean Premier League plan, every one of the six teams will be engaged with a twofold round-robin association arranges. The main four groups will meet all requirements for the playoffs. The playoffs will have the main two groups in Qualifier 1 and third and fourth put groups in the Eliminator. The winner of the Eliminator will play the failure of the Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2 to in the long run meet all requirements for the Final against the champ of the Qualifier 1.
The CPL 2019 calendar has given eight venues to the competition which are Port of Spain and Tarouba in Trinidad, Providence Stadium in Basseterre in St Kitts, Guyana, Kingston in Jamaica, Gros Islet in St Lucia, Bridgetown in Barbados, with the scene for the initial two playoffs not decided yet.
All the CPL groups will play five of their matches at home and the rest away. The Qualifier 2 and the Final will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.
